Common Snoring Causes

To be able to determine which type of snoring exercises would work best for you, the first thing you would need to do is to determine first what causes your snoring. The following are the most common causes:

1. Obesity. When you are obese or even just a tad overweight, the excess fats around your throat would most probably end up blocking your airways when you sleep, causing you to snore.

2. Sleeping position. If you are used to sleeping on your back, chances are, your breathing would become obstructed at times since the weight of your throat muscles would droop, causing you to snore.

3. Alcoholic beverages. Drinking alcoholic beverages before sleeping would cause your throat muscles to over-relax, causing them to droop and block your airway. This would, then, cause the snoring sounds to escape.

4. Health problems. Certain health problems would cause you to snore, like sleep apnea.

Once you have zeroed in on the cause of your snoring, you will then be able to determine which types of snoring exercises would really work in order for you to stop snoring altogether and get a good night’s sleep all the time.
